RECYCLING

The RRC (Recicladora de la Ribera de Chapala) in Riberas has set up a permanent program to benefit Cruz Roja by collecting plastic bottles for recycling. 

The RRC will have jumbo bags for the most common recyclable plastics set aside for public donations to Cruz Roja. Anyone who wants to participate, can simply drop by (a few doors east of the 7-11 in Riberas) and throw their bottles in the bags. When these bags are ready to be processed into flake through the grinder, they will be weighed and Cruz Roja will receive a check for the full market value of the raw plastic... and it's not just chump-change... current market value is between 3.5 and 4.5 Pesos/Kilo.
